Revealed on August 26, 2020, at the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner’s Showcase, the game was released worldwide on November 12, 2020, on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia, and on November 24, 2020 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S., where it was the first game in the series to get released on those consoles.
