Ps4 - VR Aim Controller
Ps4 - VR Aim Controller
Description
Description
-
The PlayStation VR Aim Controller is a dedicated gun-shaped peripheral designed exclusively for use with PlayStation VR (PSVR1 on PS4), built to bring a physically immersive shooting experience to compatible VR games.
-
It was developed in close collaboration between Sony's Magic Labs R&D team and Impulse Gear, the studio behind its launch title Farpoint, and released on 17 May 2017.
-
The controller is best described as a two-handed hybrid of the Move controllers and the DualShock 4, combining 3D spatial aiming with a full set of traditional PlayStation inputs.
-
Built-in motion sensors and a light sphere work with the PlayStation Camera to deliver precise, one-to-one tracking of your in-game weapon movements.
-
The design features dual thumbsticks, a DualShock 4 button layout, an analogue L2 trigger and an R2 trigger in the position of a pistol trigger for a natural shooting feel.
-
Haptic vibration feedback lets you feel every shot and impact, deepening immersion during firefights.
-
Its symmetrical, ambidextrous design makes it equally accessible for both right- and left-handed players, with R1 buttons placed on both sides of the barrel.
-
Compatible games include Farpoint, Firewall: Zero Hour, Doom VFR, Borderlands 2 VR and Chromatgun VR, among others.
-
It connects to the PS4 via USB for initial syncing and then operates wirelessly during gameplay, calibrated through the PS VR tracking light settings.
-
Worth noting: the Aim Controller is compatible with PSVR1 only and does not work with PlayStation VR2.
