Description
- Invincible VS is a brutal superhero 3v3 tag fighting game developed by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games, set in the universe of the Amazon Prime Video animated series and Image Comics.
- Released on 30 April 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC with full cross-play support, the game draws heavy inspiration from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
- You build a team of three characters and swap freely between them mid-battle using Active Tag combos and Counter Tag escapes to maintain offensive pressure or break out of dangerous situations.
- Controls use Light, Medium, Heavy and Special attacks mapped to the four face buttons, with boosted variations via the right trigger and a recovering boost gauge beneath each character's health bar.
- Supers are performed by pressing Heavy and Special together, consuming one meter bar, while boosting a Super triggers an even more devastating Ultimate attack.
- An auto-combo system via rapid light button taps makes the game accessible for newcomers while preserving mechanical depth for competitive players.
- The launch roster includes Invincible (Mark Grayson), Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Allen the Alien, Battle Beast, Rex Splode, Robot, Monster Girl, Thula and Bulletproof, with more characters planned as post-launch content.
- Six arenas are available at launch, including Hometown Invasion, The Moon, Ka-Hor's Tomb, the Himalayas, Kinetic Chamber and a Training Room.
- Game modes include a Cinematic Story Mode with an original narrative written by a writer from the animated series, Arcade Mode, Training Mode, and both casual and ranked online multiplayer with rollback netcode.
- Select members of the animated show's voice cast reprise their roles, adding authenticity to the cutscenes and story.
- PS5 Pro Enhanced with 10 accessibility features, optional in-game purchases and PS Plus required for online play.
- Overall, a gnarly and fast-paced fighter that should appeal to both fighting game fans and Invincible fans alike, though its current Season 0 roster and content offering feel like a solid but early foundation with more to come.
